As a native New Yorker, Diane spent her summers with her Aunt and Uncle in Sarasota. It’s always been home to her. Diane’s love of travel eventually found her working as a top producer in a prestigious business travel company in Westchester, New York. This enabled her to travel all over the world. When her husband Joe retired from the New York Firefighter Department they moved their family to Sarasota. Their 3 boys have attended elementary, middle school and high school in Sarasota. Their oldest most recently became a “gator” at the University of Florida.
Diane has been active in the community over the years. She enjoyed countless hours volunteering in her sons’ schools and being a chaperone/mentor. She trained in a local martial arts school, where she earned the rank of 3rd degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. Diane is also very involved in the special needs community or as she likes to phrase it, the differently-abled community. She organized and assisted in teaching Tae Kwon Do to children with autism and founded a golf clinic at a local country club for young adults with different needs.
